On may 31, 2019 while driving in a heavy rain storm my wipers suddenly stopped in the upmost position causing zero visability on a busy road. After getting safely off the road i tried moving the wiper blades and can hear clunking when they move. The linkage has separated at the bushing. This is a very dangerous defect that needs to be resolved by gm.

The windshield wipers failed during a rainstorm. They were on the second to highest setting, and they just stopped working in the middle of a busy intersection. I had to drive very slowly with my hazard lights to the nearest parking area to stop, because there was no shoulder. The plastic bushing failed in the wiper part, and chevrolet does not sell just that part. We had to replace the whole wiper assembly.
