2016 Chevrolet Equinox Engine

The 2016 Chevrolet Equinox engine listing names LEA and LFX. These are the engine codes identified for this model year; the facts provided do not include power, torque, fuel economy, or other ratings, so no figures for those measures are stated here.

Use the catalog entries to identify the engines listed for the 2016 Equinox, rather than assuming that both were offered on every trim or configuration. The available facts do not describe which trims or versions received each engine, or whether equipment differed, so check the vehicle’s documentation for a specific configuration.

Engine availability and specifications can vary by year and configuration. The facts here identify LEA and LFX for 2016 only and do not establish how those engines compare or whether either code applies to another year. For a rating or fitment detail not listed here, confirm it on the door jamb or in the owner’s manual.
