At red light,my car cut out. Wouldn't turn over. Had it towed and my mechanic said it was timing chains, which affected engine. Checked 8 of 16 valves that were bent, along w/8 rocker arms cracked and torn off. $4000 to fix this issue, money i do not have. Mechanic said gm knows about these issues and refuses to do a recall on this issue that has been going on for ten plus years.

Since i bought the car i have had to take it in every other week. The first time i took it in they said it was the head gasket and replaced it. After they repaired it the car continued to have problems. When i'm at highway speeds the car drives rough like a jerking sensation and then the check engine light flashes. I bought my 2011 equinox new in april, 2011. The 5 year warranty just expired april, 2016. I just had to have a new a/c compressor installed ($745) and my car only has 26,300 miles! Obviously defective equipment.
