I just recently bought a 2011 chevy equinox lt awd, and soon after i began driving it, the check engine light came on with code p0420 catalyst system efficiency below threshold. Chevy had issued special coverage adjustment 15810 in august 2016 with regard to the catalyst system, but the mileage was over the coverage limit of 120,000 when the sca was issued, and chevy won't cover the issue now.

Checked 8 of 16 valves that were bent, along w/8 rocker arms cracked and torn off. $4000 to fix this issue, money i do not have.
